GREAT COMPANIONS presents:

Ali Brown “Scaredy Dog!” Seminar

Does your dog lunge, bark, or growl at strangers or other dogs?
Feeling frustrated and not sure how to handle it?

Or perhaps you’re a trainer and have come upon such a dog in your classes
and would like to learn how to run a class for these “reactive” dogs.

Ali Brown, author of Scaredy Dog! Understanding and Rehabilitating your Reactive Dog, will host a seminar addressing all facets of “reactivity." This is a wonderfully informative and supportive event for owners of reactive dogs. This seminar also teaches dog trainers and dog-training organizations how to run classes for reactive dogs.

The all-day seminar will be divided into two parts. A morning session (just for humans) including discussion about reactivity and contributing factors such as stress hormones, genetics, and socialization. Ali will also introduce you to the skills necessary for managing and rehabilitating the reactive dog – clickers, targeting, focus, car behavior, and tricks. The afternoon will include two demonstration sessions of a reactive class with up to five dogs pre-selected from the seminar audience.

WHEN, WHERE, etc. - The seminar will take place Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Great Companions which is located at:

6127 PA Route 873
